The sequel to the Supergiant Games 2020 roguelike Hades will be released in 2019. It's a bold move that increases the stakes and gives an in-depth look at family politics.
Melinoe is back on a quest to kill Chronos the titan of time. On her journey, she'll encounter new gods like the personifications of the light Apollo and the goddess of witchcraft Hecate, along with the deity of revenge Nemesis.
1. Hades 2 Technical Test
If you're a fan Supergiant Games and their famous 2020 Roguelike Hades, then it might be worth your time to sign up to participate in the technical test for its sequel. The studio has announced that an Early Access launch is on the next horizon, and playing the game will help them to iron out any bugs with smaller numbers of players than the full 1.0 release.
It's as easy as going to the game's Steam page, and mashing the "request access" button. Hades 2 will feature more levels, enemies and voiced characters as well as key areas than the finished version of the original. Participants in the technical test will not be able carry their progress over into the Early Access build. Supergiant is planning to "reset" the game at the beginning once it is in Early Access. Hades 2 is not only visually stunning and visually stunning, but it also introduces new characters and features that will improve your experience and challenge you in ways you've never imagined. In addition to the brand new gods shades, and other items that are found in the Underworld there's a wide array of items you can acquire and upgrade through Incantations. This system of perpetual upgrades can be found throughout every game. Melinoe can also create new spells, improve her nocturnal arms and Nocturnal Armor, collect items from the crossroads camp to use in future runs, and unlock weapons, trinkets boons, paths and other tools as she travels.
Another positive change is the opening up of more open areas, that offer different routes through each area and an ever-changing setting to explore. Each region is a fascinating approach to the Underworld, with some more accessible than others, but all providing unique challenges that stand out from the standard fare of most other Roguelites.
Supergiant has also altered the gameplay in the early-access version. This has reduced some of the work required to obtain certain upgrades and makes it simpler to move between areas. There's plenty of work to be done before the game hits its full release, but Supergiant has made it clear that it's determined to make the most of player feedback and keep working to bring Hades 2 to a perfect state.
Supergiant has a reputation for listening to its players and addressing any issues that come up, and that's evident in the way it's handled the early access release of Hades 2. Although it's a long time before the full version becomes available, Hades 2 already feels like a worthy addition to your gaming collection.
3. Hades 2 Beta
Hades was a roguelike unlike any other that came out in the year of 2018. The game was awarded multiple awards and is considered one of the most enjoyable games ever created. It's no surprise that the game was so popular with people, thanks to its rich and compelling narrative rooted in Greek mythology, tales of struggles between families and LGBTQ+ representation which feels natural and inclusive. It was no surprise to the fans when Supergiant announced that a sequel was in the in the works.
Seven years after its original release, Hades 2 has finally been released to early access. Although it's not much changed mechanically, Supergiant's love for and dedication to Hades 2 are evident from the beginning.
According to the Steam page of Hades 2, "the game brings back all the elements that were so unique in the first game one: the isometric perspective, clearing rooms, identifying boons and launching powerful attacks and the Hub World, which includes a a host fully voice-acted character to interact with and learn from, and the ever-shifting Underworld."
In addition to these new features, the test also adds a few new ones as well. For instance, the capability to unlock new permanent upgrades for Melinoe as well as a brand new weapon, and a myriad of other options that will help you fight the underworld's hordes. You can also train the witchy companions, unravel mysteries at the Arcana Altar and gather reagents to enhance your abilities.
The most exciting feature is Omega attacks which are a fresh way to boost the power of your weapons and spells. By using these attacks, you can boost your magick meter and unleash devastating strikes with huge areas of impact. This is a new method to add more variety to the game of combat.
Hades 2 beta is available both on Steam and Epic Games Store. The date of release for the full version of the game is still not known, but Supergiant has promised to keep fans updated as they work towards a 1.0 release in 2024. 4. Hades 2 Release Date
After a successful testing the roguelike dungeon-crawler Hades 2 has launched into early access on PC. The sequel from Supergiant Games follows Melinoe, the daughter of Zeus and Hades, on a quest to take down Chronos and save her father. Hades 2 promises all the amazing mechanics of its award-winning predecessor with a re-imagined story rooted in Greek mythology and the dawning of witchcraft.
Steam and Epic Games Store are both available to those who wish to purchase the game. Early access purchasers will be able to play the game in all future versions. Hades 2 will be released in full at the end of 2024.
Although the game's 2022 launch date is still some way from being a reality, the early access version has already piqued the interest of players. Livestreams that preview April's technical test revealed some details regarding the game's new characters and gameplay.
In the stream, developers discussed their plans to add more characters, regions and challenges over the coming months. They also discussed how they're planning to make combat experience even more enjoyable by introducing more skills-based abilities.

The trailer for Hades 2 features the Underworld Princess, Melinoe, fighting the cool witch Hecate. While Melinoe isn't a complete remake of Zagreus, Supergiant says that Melinoe will have the same style and character. The character was also inspired by an ancient Greek mythological character that the studio modified to tell the story of Hades 2
If you're considering buying Hades 2, it might be a good idea to wait for the full 1.0 release instead of diving right into the early access version. If you don't mind waiting another few months to get the full experience, then you can buy it on either Steam or the Epic Games Store.
